The children have all logged onto Purple Mash and using the program '2Type' have been practising their touch-typing skills.  Some of the skills they have been learning include:

- To understand the names of the fingers

- To understand what is meant by 'home', 'bottom' and 'top' rows

They have impressed us with their drive to improve their speed and accuracy.

Also this week, Year 3 have visited the library to see the phenomenal new wallpaper and the brand new book vending machine! Each week, every child who has read 5 times will go into a virtual hat and one will be selected from each key phase. The names will be announced in Friday's assembly. The lucky winner will be able to collect a token for the vending machine to receive a book of their own to keep. Come on Year 3! Keep reading!
