Roebuck Academy is working hard to raise aspirations by capturing and fostering every child’s interests, strengths and dreams. We want children to meet people doing interesting things and we want them to get a sense of the qualifications, skills and experience that people need to turn their dreams into reality.

Our Dreamcatcher assembly programme is now an established feature of school life for pupils in Years 2 through to 6, who relish the chance to meet and ask questions of speakers from many walks of life.

So far we have been visited by many different professions including the fire and police services, an author, a lawyer, a music teacher, a green space officer, as swimmer , an Olympic athlete, a train driver, a nurse, a News Editor and a gymnast!

Our programme has also been of interest in Hertfordshire with a published case study featuring in publication, 'Great Expectations.'
